Film dari Enemies of the People (2009) bersinopsis Khmer Rouge membantai hampir dua juta orang pada akhir 1970 -an. Namun bidang pembunuhan Kamboja tetap tidak dapat dijelaskan. Sampai sekarang. Masuki Thet Sambath, seorang jurnalis investigasi yang sederhana, namun licik, yang menghabiskan satu dekade hidupnya mendapatkan kepercayaan dari pria dan wanita yang melakukan pembantaian. Dari prajurit kaki yang menggorok tenggorokan ke tangan kanan Pol Pot, saudara laki-laki nomor dua yang terkenal kejam, Sambath mencatat kesaksian mengejutkan yang belum pernah dilihat atau didengar.
