Film dari The Straight Story (1999) bersinopsis Seorang pensiunan petani dan duda berusia 70-an, suatu hari Alvin Straight mengetahui bahwa saudara jauhnya Lyle menderita stroke dan mungkin tidak akan pulih. Alvin bertekad untuk memperbaiki keadaan Lyle selagi dia masih bisa, tapi saudaranya tinggal di Wisconsin, sementara Alvin terjebak di Iowa tanpa mobil dan SIM. Kemudian dia mendapat ide untuk melakukan perjalanan dengan mesin pemotong rumput tuanya, sehingga memulai pengembaraan yang indah dan terkadang sangat spiritual.
